Chapter Two~!! >:D

Volume 1, Chapter 2

"Let's see. . ." Miharu murmured, looking around. They were on the beach, the waves softly kissing the shore. "Miharu-san, let's go back. It's going to get cold soon." Kairi whined. "We have to find an escape," she disagreed. Kairi came up from behind her and hugged her. Shocked, she glanced up at him. "Haven't you noticed them yet?" he asked darkly. Miharu's eyes narrowed. Without moving her head, her eyes scanned the area. In the darkness of the forest, she saw a blur shift and hide. "I'm assuming they're regular villagers." Kairi said into her hair. Miharu said, "Let's go back then." Kairi grinned. "Good choice!" he said. He let her go and started walking away. Miharu took a final glance around, clicking her tongue. She ran after Kairi, falling into step beside him.
The next morning, Yuuna woke everyone up early. "Come, come, we're going to find out your Types." she said cheerfully. White was waiting for them in a large room that must have been the auditorium. "Ohayo gozaimasu." he greeted, smiling brightly. He received sullen stares from Kairi, Suzu, Hina, and Miharu. Miu blushed and returned the greeting. Kizaku waved, the same expression on his face. Yuuna looked eager to begin. Murmurs were passing between Kizaku and Miu. "Okay, so you've all seen Yuuna-san's wings, right?" White asked. Several nods. Yuuna's wings spread from her back, fluttering and white. "Yuuna-san is, obviously, an Air Type. You basically have wings if you're an Air Type. Next, we have Earth Type. This can be anything that walks on Earth, such as Cat, Dog, Monkey, et cetera. The most common is Dog. The last type is the Water Type. You basically sprout invisible gills and get some sort of mermaid-ey tail, I guess. I wouldn't really know." he said. "He doesn't even know. . ." everyone thought, excluding Yuuna and White himself, staring at White. Suddenly, White's hand shot out, and cards were in his hand. There were seven. "Pick a card. Any card." White said, his smile somewhat beguiled. Everyone shifted uncomfortably, then Kizaku stepped forward and took a card, his goofy smile never leaving his face. He turned the card over, and he stopped smiling for a split second, an eyebrow raising. White looked over, seeing the wings printed on it. "You're an Air Type!" White chirped. Even Kizaku was skeptical. "You choose at RANDOM?!" Kairi demanded. "No, your soul will guide you~," White said. Miharu rolled her eyes. "Just choose the card that feels right." he said, smiling. "Now, Kizaku-san," he mumbled, stepping up to Kizaku. White placed his hand on Kizaku's forehead. Kizaku blinked, smiling again, though it was a confused smile. "Spread your wings." White said, tilting his head and smiling. Kizaku's back arched suddenly, and it appeared his skin was. . .growing. Like something was trying to burst from that one spot. Miharu gagged, grossed out. Suddenly, the skin ripped and a single wing tore out. There were no feathers, it was all bone. Strange symbols were printed on the wing. There was a small part that wasn't attached to the rest of the wing, but both segments were drawn, like a magnet, to a circle floating between the snapped pieces. Kizaku still hadn't opened his eyes, but he somehow knew what was going on. "One wing?!" Yuuna whispered, her eyes wide. "Only one wing?" White muttered, narrowing his eyes. "Ah, ah, that hurts." Kizaku said, smiling sheepishly. White glanced at him, then looked back to the wing. "There's not even any feathers. . ." Yuuna whispered. ". . .Arigato gozaimasu, Kizaku-san. Hina-san, step forward." White said.

Hina stepped forward, her glare icy. She chose a card, then looked at it. "Bubbles." she said. "So you're a Water Type!" White said, grinning. Hina dropped the card, her mouth open in an O. "I'm going to sprout GILLS?! FINS?!" she cried. "Don't worry, it won't be that bad." White said, unconvincingly. He ushered Hina back in line, saying, "You have to be in water to get your fins, probably." He turned to Kairi, smiling lightly. Kairi stepped forward, sighing. He chose a card and flipped it over. "A cat." Kairi said, frowning. "You're an Earth Type, and apparently 'Neko'. That's one of the rarest ones." White said. He tapped Kairi's head, and two cat ears popped up from beneath his blue hair. A tail was flickering. ". . .$#!^%$@&!?!?" Kairi barked, clamping his hands down onto the cat ears. Miharu gaped at Kairi, as everyone else did. "They're cute." Yuuna cooed. Kairi stood by Miharu, trembling, holding his new tail up and staring at it. "Okay, Suzu-san, c'mere." White said, beckoning Suzu over. Suzu walked over silently, staring at White. She lightly pulled a card from his hand, and looked at it. ". . .Monkey." she said. There was a snort from behind her, and a few chuckles. Suzu went a little red and stared at her feet. "The monkey is more powerful than the other Types." White said cheerfully, though his eyes glinted maliciously. The chuckles stopped. Suzu looked up, a slight smile on her face. White stared into space, smiling goofily, then took something out of his pocket and threw it on the ground. Smoke erupted from it, enveloping Suzu. When the smoke cleared, everyone gaped. Suzu blinked, stunned. A tail, her tail, was swaying side-to-side. She wore a mini leather jacket, the collar furry. She had furry leg warmers, and on her head were round, furry ears. White ushered her gently back into line. Lighting, a cigarette, he called, "Miu-san." Miu stepped forward, curious to see what she would be. She chose one and flipped it over. "Bubbles. . ." she said. "Yup, you're a Water Type!" White said. Miu glanced at Hina and trotted back in line. "So, we have Kizaku-san, Miu-san, Hina-san, Kairi-san, and Suzu-san. All that's left is. . ." White said, turning to Miharu. She felt everyone's eyes on her. She strode forward, frowning. Reaching towards the last two cards, Miharu hesitated. "Just choose the one that feels right." White assured her. Miharu chose one and turned it over. Her eyes widened. "What is it?" White asked, frowning. ". . .It's blank." she said. White dropped his cigarette. Yuuna stepped forward. "Blank?" White asked. "Yea." Miharu said, showing him. The surface was pure white. White chuckled uneasily and pulled another cigarette out, lighting it and putting it into his mouth. He sucked in a big breath, then blew smoke out. "Okay! Go back now! Bye bye!" he said, waving them off. Yuuna hurried them away, her face pale. "H-Hey, what's wrong? Is that bad?" Miharu asked, looking pale as well. "Ahahahahaha. No, there's nothing wrong with that." Yuuna said, her laugh artificial. Miharu fell backwards, fainting. Kairi caught her and looked at Yuuna, sheepishly shrugging. Yuuna smiled, walking away. "Hup," Kairi uttered, throwing Miharu over his shoulder, "you're already a handful."

Rain poured down, washing every drop of red from his shoulder. "Hungry. . .I'm so hungry. . ." he murmured, licking the blood. His white hair was stained with the crimson blood, though his hat covered most of it. "To think that I, Aster, would be reduced to your filth." he said softly to the Black in his hand. "Aster-sama, p-please let me l-live. . ." it begged. "But I'm. . .so hungry. . ." Aster said, gripping the Black. "C-can't b-b-breat—breath. . ." it hissed, struggling against him. He lifted it and opened his mouth. "Eating your own kind?! You are a part of Black!! YOU ARE DEMENTIA!!!" it screamed, but his teeth came against its fragile body. There was a cracking noise, then the sound of blood gushing. Like a wolf, he devoured the Black with hardly any chewing. "I'm. . .so hungry," Aster whispered. "I'm filthy. . ." he said, holding his hands up and examining the blood on them. "Eating my own kind. . .huh? I don't want to eat humans. . ." he said, tightening his jacket around himself. "Hungry. . .So. . .hungry. . .Only the flesh of mortals can ease my hunger pangs. . .Those desolate faces. . ." Aster said, hushed. He collapsed against a wall, holding his injured shoulder. He looked up weakly. A building. There was noise from inside. Human voices. He inhaled sharply, raggedly. His pupils were dilated, and his face split into a smile. "One or two humans wouldn't be so bad." he cackled, laughing. Without a running start, he jumped at least twenty feet into the air, breaking a window and rolling onto the ground. Four girls and two boys peered down at him with concerned expressions. "Hey, what happened?!" a girl asked. She had peach eyes. Aster's heart thudded painfully inside his chest. Those eyes looked delectable. ". . .First." he muttered. "First? What?" a male asked. He had different coloured eyes. "I'll eat you first~!!!" Aster snapped, tackling the peach-eyed girl. She struggled, startled, but he outweighed her. "What beautiful negligence you wear!" Aster cooed, licking her neck. "GET OFF OF ME!!!" she screamed, kicking him away. Aster caught himself on his hand and flipped over. "I'm so hungry." he said, his face split with an awful smile. He smelled of blood. "Hey, you!" the red and yellow eyed male called. Aster turned, his face dead serious. "Your intelligence is equal to the smoothness of a walnut shell." he said, before a piece of bread hit him in the face. It fell, and Aster blinked. The heterochromatic kid was in the air, and his fist was coming down at Aster. "What—" Aster tried, but then his mouth filled with blood from the force of the blow. Aster spit the blood out as he flew back. The kid skidded, then hit his forearm with his other fist, grinning. "I didn't learn martial arts for nothing!" he said. Aster stared at the ceiling, too weak to stand up. "Is he a cannibal?" the red-haired one asked. "No one could jump in from that high and survive." the pink-haired male said. The one with the lifeless green eyes had a rifle aimed at him. "Let's shoot him." she said. "Idiot! Don't just shoot him! On TV, they always question the intruder first!" the pink-eyed one said. "How old are you?!" the red-haired one snapped. Aster felt the Dementia in him rising.

Suddenly, an arm was held over Aster's head. Aster's vision was blurred, but he looked at the person. White smiled down at him. "Drink. Blood won't be enough, but it'll calm your Dementia." he said. Aster stared at him. "You are most merciful." he said at last. He grasped White's arm and opened his mouth. Someone gasped. He wasn't surprised. Most of his teeth were sharp, his tongue black as if he had decayed, and his mouth could open wider than most humans, like an animal. "Don't let that disgusting thing touch you!" the pink-eyed one shrieked. White looked at her, looking sorrowful. Aster stopped. His eyes were wide. He remembered that word. He could never forget it. 'Disgusting creature!! Demon of Dementia!' He closed his eyes and lowered himself on the ground. "Better yet, save that mercy for someone who deserves it. . ." he said. White looked down to him, sad. White cut himself a bit, and the blood dripped onto Aster's face. Aster's eyes widened, and he shot forward. He bit down roughly into White's arm, drawing blood. He looked almost innocent, gulping the blood down as if his life depended on it. White winced. "Not too hard now. If you take too much, I'll die." he advised Aster, smiling. Aster broke from his arm, looking at White adoringly, blood dripping from his mouth. White rubbed Aster's mouth, smiling gently. "You poor creature, deprived of food. Or could it be that you don't want to consume mortal flesh?" he asked. "It's disgusting, to eat humans. . .It's something only a monster would do." Aster said. "Tell me your name." White said. "Aster." he muttered. "Aster, huh?" Aster nodded. "I am in your debt." he said. He stood up, smirking. He bowed to White, colour in his face again. "I was about to starve to death. Or worse, eat these young children. You, my Lord, have saved me. Allow me to assist you in your fight against Black." he said. White gaped. "How did you. . .?" he asked. "I have been around for centuries. I can recognize descendants when they are around me." Aster said, adjusting his hat. "He was crazed with hunger?" the peach-eyed girl asked. "Yes, Miharu-san. Dementia such as himself strive off of human bodies. It appears Aster is going against the grain." White said. Aster glanced at Miharu, then strode up to her. "Miharu-san? Is that your name?" he asked. "Y-Yea, it is." she said, blinking. He bowed to her, holding his hat to the side. "My beautiful victim, I beg your forgiveness. I portrayed such a beastly side of myself. I could hardly feel anything. But in your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch." he said. Miharu flushed red. He clasped her hands, looking longingly into her eyes. "I did not harm you, did I, Mistress?" he said tenderly. Miharu fainted again, blood flying from her nose. "Ah, Mistress! I knew it! I have harmed your delicate body!" Aster cried, biting his lip. Miu fell over with a nosebleed. "M-Miu-chan!" Kizaku said, catching her. Kairi twitched, seeing Aster fawn over Miharu. Hina was bright red, and Suzu was, well, Suzu. Aster was hugging Miharu, making a gentlemanly speech dramatically. Kairi glared at him, reaching for Miharu. Kizaku tried shaking Miu awake. In anger, both Kizaku and Kairi gritted their teeth, thinking, "This guy. . .!!"

"I'm sorry for any trouble I have caused you." Aster said, bowing. Miharu, with tissue stuffed in her nose, replied, "It wasn't your fault. You starved yourself." Kairi tapped his foot, looking in the opposite direction. Kizaku wore the same smile, but his aura read 'irritation'. Aster stood up. "Thank you all. Especially the young 'martial artist' boy over there. If you had not intervened, the beautiful Lady Miharu would. . ." he trailed off, looking down. Kairi only seemed to get angrier as Aster thanked him. "Ah, that's right. That's Kairi-san." Miharu said. "M-Miharu-san!!" he hissed, glaring at her. "What? Anyway, that's Miu, that's Hina, that's Kizaku, and this is Yuuna." Miharu said, pointing to each person. Yuuna and Miu doted on Aster, Hina nodded casually, and Suzu just stared. Kizaku had a smile pasted on his face, but his foot was tapping briskly. Kairi glanced at Kizaku, then both of them nodded their approval at the other, sniffling. "Hmm. Boys are weird." Hina said, taking notes on their behaviour. White leaned against Kizaku, grinning. "Boys will be boys." he said. "Aster-san, tell me, how old are you?" he asked. Aster looked over. "I am twenty, Lord. However, to humans, I am two-hundred and twenty. I age every eleven years." Aster answered. "So young," White marveled. "ELEVEN years? That's so long!" Miu said, awed. "Mistress, you may find it strange, but I feel the same way about YOUR aging pattern. Aging YEARLY? That's far too quick." he said. Miu squealed and hugged his arm. Yuuna took her turn talking to Aster. "Aster-sama, are you the youngest of your kind?" she asked. He laughed. "I'm afraid not, Mistress. Not nearly as much as you, my Lady, as to look not a day over nineteen yourself." he answered. Yuuna hugged his other arm. "He's so cool~!!" Yuuna and Miu squealed, hugging Aster's arms. Aster was blushing, being tugged back and forth. "Smooth-talking lady-killer. . ." Kizaku muttered. Kairi nodded his agreement, angrily.
"It's raining. . ." the girl whispered, clutching the straps of her pack tighter. The huge sniper rifle she carried was dragging in the mud. "So, Pi-Chi Ki Island at last, huh?" she murmured, drenched. She was shivering, muddy, soaked, and exhausted, but to be invited by White himself to fight against Dementia was an honour— a privilege. Even she knew this, when she was only ten years old. Despite her young age, she was the most skilled of her kind. She was human, yes, but advanced. Gifted. Nothing in her was mutant, nothing tampered with, she was just abnormal. Like a genius with an amazing I.Q. Her medical skills made her valuable in battle, and her long-ranged weapon and superior aiming and pacing techniques made her an ideal sniper. She had learned to aim and fire at three, and how to treat basic cuts at four. The abilities piled up, one after another. No matter how you saw it, gifted or freaky, she was incredible. "White-san. . .I'm here. My name. . .is Alice."

Finally, here's chapter one.
It's a little long, but it will get much longer. Let's get started. Welcome to PeAcH.

Volume 1, Chapter 1

Takoshomi Miharu sat down on a park bench, bored out her mind. She was almost asleep when someone leaned over her and shouted, "PEACH!!" Miharu's eyes flew open and she sat up quickly, shocked. Her eyes were pink and yellow, the colour of peaches. "WHAT?! WHA?" she snapped, looking around. A girl smiled down at her. "Sorry, I didn't make you wait too long, did I?" she asked. "No, it's fine. I just kinda dozed off. . ." Miharu said, stretching. The girl smiled. "Okay, well let's go. The movie is starting soon." she said. "Alrighty." Miharu said, standing up, grinning. "I'm afraid you won't be making that movie." a voice said. They turned, surprised. A girl with long brown hair smiled gently at them. "Miharu? You won a lifetime stay at a gorgeous island!" she said, grinning. ". . .No thanks." Miharu said, taking her friend's arm and sauntering off. "No is not an answer." the girl called, her cute voice cold. Her friend and Miharu stopped, glancing at each other. "No means no." Miharu snapped, turning around. The girl was right in front of her, smiling. Miharu's eyes widened, then the girl's hand slammed into her face. "Sorry, I hope that didn't hurt too much." she said. Miharu was screaming into her hand. Her friend had already dialed for help, talking hurriedly into the phone. The girl's eyes narrowed. She pressed a button on her bracelet, and a light shot out of it, enveloping Miharu and herself. "My name is Yuuna, and I'll be your escort! I am an 'Air Type'. I hope you're not afraid of heights!" she said. Just then, wings spread from her back. “W-WINGS?!” Miharu shrieked, jaw dropping. Yuuna hugged Miharu, then took off running. "PEACH!!!" her friend screamed, running after her. Yuuna turned, her hand outstretched. "Forget!" she hissed. Her friend stopped, blinking. "What was I doing. . .?" she mumbled sleepily, falling over. “NOOO!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Miharu wailed. Just then, though, Yuuna jumped into the air. Her wings worked powerfully, sending them spiraling upwards. "Pi-Chi Ki Island*, here we come!" Yuuna quipped. (*-Pi-Chi Ki means “Peach Tree”) "Pi-Chi Ki?!" Miharu demanded, thrashing her arms. They weren't high off the ground, but Miharu wanted to throw up. She was dizzy. "Yes! Have you heard the legend, Pi-Chi Eyes? You are one of the descendants of the fisherman in that legend." Yuuna said, her wings beating up and down. "You need to help us fight off the 'Black'." she said. " 'Black'? What's the 'Black'? Let me down!" Miharu commanded. "I can't. We need you." Yuuna said, frowning. "SOMEBODY HELP MEEEE!!!!!!" Miharu shrieked.

"Here we are. Isn't it a beautiful island?" Yuuna said. Miharu glanced up, her throat sore from screaming. She had to admit it was indeed a gorgeous island. Blue water and green forests. Dolphins were scattered here and there. "Blue sky, green land, blue, cool water. It's paradise here." Yuuna said brightly. Her face darkened then. "But the 'Black' is threatening to destroy this haven. I live here, you know. I'm a descendant as well, and I will protect my land no matter what. Now I'm asking you to. I sought out all the descendants with White's help, and you were the last remaining." Yuuna said sadly. "Ah, your name is Miharu, right? Why did that girl call you 'Peach'? Because of your eye colour?" Yuuna wondered. Miharu was trying to sort this out. "Y-Yes. Everyone at home calls me Peach. I don't hate it, but after awhile, I wish they would just stop noticing my eyes." she said. "I like your eyes. They're pretty." Yuuna said. "Thanks." Miharu said. She was processing this. It's not like she couldn't NOT believe it— she was being carried by a girl who was flying. You know. With wings. Real ones. As far as Miharu could tell, anyway. "We're landing. It may be a bit rough." Yuuna said. She landed shakily, skidding to a halt. She set Miharu down, trembling. "I've never flown for that long or with a person before." she explained, laughing sheepishly. "Will you be okay?" Miharu asked, frowning. "After rest, yes. But not right now. We have to get moving." Yuuna said, grinning. "O-okay." Miharu mumbled. "We're going to be near town, but don't bother the inhabitants too much." Yuuna said, tapping her chin. She kept talking, but Miharu zoned out. Inhabitants? That meant this island was like Hawaii or some other tropical place. She couldn't see any boats, but they were farther out into the forests. If she could escape into town, Miharu could hide out while she found an airport or some other means of transportation. Miharu's eyes narrowed as she stared at Yuuna. If she could knock her out, then she could make a run for town. Best to wait to find out where town exactly was though. Running blindly through forests possibly being pursued by a girl with wings who knew the island was NOT a good idea. "Look, down that hill. You see that big building— the one that looks like a school? That's where we're heading." she said. Miharu glanced downwards, curious. It indeed looked like a HUGE school. "Why a school?" Miharu asked, unhappy she was dragged into ANOTHER school. College was enough. Miharu raised her eyebrow. It was empty, no students or anything. "What's going on?" she demanded. "I told you it would all be explained." Yuuna said, smiling.

Miharu took in the school, cataloging every detail. She noticed a few more people; three girls and two boys. Yuuna had walked off. The boy with pink (!?!?) hair and girl with brown hair were talking. She was cute, and he looked like he had been surfing. The girl with bright red hair a few feet away was sketching, looking antisocial. Another girl with braids just sat and stared at her hands. The other male with blue hair (boys these days, so daring with their hair. . .) lay alone as well, staring at the sky, looking distant. Miharu decided to approach the male, since Red (the girl) seemed busy drawing, and the other girl looked ready to poke her with a fork. The male glanced over at Miharu as she approached and made room for her on the bench, sitting up. Miharu took in his eye colour, somewhat surprised. Yellow and red eyes. She sat down, frowning. "Kidnapped?" he asked. "Uh-huh. And you?" she said, glancing at him. "Same. Name's Kairi." he said, holding his hand out. Miharu shook his hand. "I'm Miharu." she said, nodding. He leaned closer. "I thought MY eyes were weird, but yours are a thousand times weirder. But they're pretty." Kairi said, grinning. She felt her face flush. "Thanks. . .? At least mine are the same colour." she murmured, pouting. "Wha--? Hey, I was complime—" he started, before Yuuna clamped her hand over his mouth. "No arguing now. It's time for all to be revealed!" she said, trying to look scary. "So, been on islands before?" Kairi asked, walking with Miharu, ignoring Yuuna. "I live by a beach, but this is new." Miharu said, nodding. Yuuna stood with the same expression on her face, rejected. "W-wait for me!" she called, sobbing and running after them. Yuuna lead the way to the room they were supposed to be at. She opened the door, revealing a small room with a man in it. He had light blonde hair and blue eyes. He smiled, tapping his cigarette, blowing smoke from his mouth. "Welcome to Pi-Chi Ki Island. You can call me White. I'm here to explain about Black to you." he said. White put his cigarette out and looked at the girl with braids. "Suzu, step forward please." he said. The girl blinked, then stepped BACKWARDS. "How do you know my name?!" she demanded. Before he could answer, she tore a rifle from behind her back, aiming it at him. The dress she wore shredded, revealing armor. "Hiding guns in her clothes. Wonder what her hobby is." Kairi whispered to Miharu. The rifle stretched out far, almost touching White's stomach. It seemed like everyone blinked at the same time, because he was gone then. Two hands squeezed Miharu's shoulders. She whirled, falling backwards. White caught her around the waist, grinning. "I know all your names." he answered Suzu. He pulled Miharu close, examining her eyes. "You're the descendants. I can name all of you." White said, kissing Miharu's forehead. "This one is the beautiful peach-eyed Miharu." he said, patting Miharu's hair, while she blushed furiously. "That catty looking fellow is Kairi. Nice eyes." he said, pointing to Kairi. "That one," White said, pointing to the surfer,"is Kizaku." Kizaku smiled sheepishly. "That lovely princess is Miu." The girl he called Miu blushed, waving timidly. "And this is the aspiring mangaka Hina." he said, looking at the red haired girl. Hina glanced up at him, her eyes cold. White let go of Miharu. She stumbled back, her shoulders gripped by Kairi as he inched defensively in front of her. White smiled. "Let me explain. . .It will only take a second. I promise I'll make it worth your while." he said. While he said this, he looked at Yuuna. She nodded and opened the window. "Ittekimasu*." she said, bowing. (*-'I'm leaving now'.) She leapt from the window, her wings spreading. She spiraled upwards, speeding off. White closed the window. "Yuuna-san had something to take care of. Anyways, back to subject. I am White. I am not a descendant. I am the Other of Black."

"Black isn't necessarily the correct name for it. It's otherwise known as Dementia. We call it Black because it isn't as scary to our town. The 'demons' we speak of are real, but they're still very much human. Listen closely now. You five, along with Yuuna, are the descendants of the fisherman in the legend Pi-Chi Eyes." Here, White looked at Miharu. "There's a whole untold story that happened after the legend. Allow me to tell you. The disease back then was called 'Black' because no one knew what it was. However, it was only a disease. After the fisherman gouged his eyes out, his anger and regret and sorrow turned into the demons. He was the cause of Dementia. Demons started to plague the island, and everyone assumed it was the Black. Which it wasn't, but it's too late to fix that tiny mistake. Anyway, the man was the beginning of Black, the Dementia. In the legend, two important women weren't mentioned. One was a simple priestess, wandering the country. She came upon the Black and purified it. The man, before his soul departed, told her that the Black had infected someone. He didn't know who, but he could sense the power of Dementia. This person knew how to control it, however, and the Black was growing stronger. The fisherman was connected to the person who had controlled Black, and he knew how to seal them away. The priestess could not, so she allowed the fisherman to have her body. Now in the priestess's body, the fisherman sought out the woman who controlled Black and sealed her away. Before she was cast away, she warned the fisherman that the Black was sealed for now, but it would be back. And after seven hundred years, the Black is back. The fisherman was ultimately the Hero, in the end. The fisherman, with his Dementia sealed, then slept for eternity. Now you are here. All of you are connected." White pressed his hands to his chest, closing his eyes. He looked peaceful, happy. "I can feel it. Your hearts beating as one." He opened his eyes. "I can see it! The rush of blood throughout your body, the chains holding you close." Hina spoke up. "I can see it." she said. White looked at her, smiling gently. "You can?" he asked. ". . .Yes. It's been bothering my ever since I saw Yuuna-san. There were chains connecting her to me. Then when we arrived here, there were chains on all of us. Except you, that is." she said. "So you can see them. Can you touch them?" he asked. "I already tried. They're like air." Hina said, glaring. "My my~, you can see them! You're a powerful one indeed! I thought for sure Miharu-san would be able to see them." White said. "Sorry for not living up to your expectations." Miharu said sharply, holding Kairi's arm. White laughed. "No, no, I'm sorry. Let me get back on track—" he stopped, looking at Kairi's arm. He stared. Kairi frowned, shuddering. Hina was staring at his arm now too. "WHAT?!" Kairi snapped. "You're chains. . ." Hina said. "They're incredibly strong. You and Miharu. . .You're. . ." White murmured, frowning. Miharu looked down, seeing nothing. Kairi was looking too. "I don't see anything," they said in unison. ". . .Nothing, never mind." White said brightly. "Ah, I'll explain the rest as it comes. Miharu-san, come with me. I want to talk to you." he said. Miharu frowned. She glanced at Kairi. He shrugged, pushing her gently towards White. White took her arm and left the room. "You guys can choose whichever rooms you want to live in~," he said, grinning. They exited the room. "What do you want?" Miharu said, pulling her arm from White. "Eheheheh, straight to the point, huh? Well, I think it's wise you stay near Kairi." he said, tapping his chin. "Wah? Why?" Miharu asked, frowning. "Well, your chains are. . .abnormal, you can say. They're strong, old with corrosion. But they will never break, I can tell already, just by looking. In fact, we better stop walking." he said, halting. "So what? They're strong, whoop-de-do." she said sarcastically. "Well, they must have weakened when you were apart, but now that you're on the same island, they're even stronger than ever." White said. Wait. . .Apart? They hadn't met before, Kairi and her, right? "The chains won't let you separate. . .It might even be painful to be apart. If you're too far apart, you might start to physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt. Hmmm." White said. "H-hurt?" Miharu stuttered. "Don't be afraid of pain!" White cooed, flicking her forehead. "It all passes, eventually. Just stay near Kairi." he said. "Okay, okay, go, go!" he said, pushing her back into the room. "I've decided Kairi-san and Miharu-san are to be roommates while they are here at Pi-Chi Ki Island~, so you two, no hanky-panky in the dorm room~! ♥" White said, getting his foot smashed by Kairi's heel. Kairi stalked off, angry, and White, still smiling, fell over, moaning,"Owww. . ." Miharu followed after Kairi, glaring at White.

"He said it would HURT?" Kairi questioned, wrinkling his nose. "Yea. We had some sort of bond before. . ." Miharu murmured, tapping her chin. "I don't believe a word of it." she finished. "Let's try it out, just in case." he suggested. They both turned and walked in opposite directions. "I don't feel anything!" he called. "Me neither!" she said back. They reached the end of the hall. Suddenly, pain blast through both their bodies. Their knees buckled and the collapsed. "W-What is this?!" Kairi coughed, hardly managing the words. Miharu looked up, dazed. "It was the. . .tru. . .truth?!" she stuttered. There was a thudding noise, as if someone was running. Suddenly, the pain stopped. Panting, Miharu looked up. Kairi, holding his shoulder, smiled weakly down at her. "I think White's right. Let's. . .stick around each other." he coughed. "You ran over here?" she asked. "Yea, why?" he replied, frowning. "No reason." Miharu said, shrugging. She stood up, feeling lighter. "Ah, he said we've met before. That's funny. . ." he said. Miharu studied Kairi. He had a gentle, carefree, happy-go-lucky smile. Red and yellow eyes. His face did not exactly match his body. He was tall, really tall, broad shoulders and chest. Altogether, the smile and rugged body mixed together pretty nicely. He wasn't exactly someone you'd do a double-take at, but he was certainly handsome. And not at ALL familiar. Kairi, in the meantime, was thinking the same about her. Miharu had a serious face, peach eyes that could look right through you. He had only seen her frown, but the contours of her face suggested she was cute when she smiled. She was pretty scrawny, skinny and short. She had a nice waist and average bust line. (Hey, he's having 'dude thoughts', okay?!) She was in no way familiar. They stared at each other for a minute, then burst laughing. "White's a crazed moron!" Miharu said, laughing. Choking back chuckles, Kairi said, "Yea, yea. There's no way we know each other." Miharu saluted him. "I feel refreshed. Let's go explore the island really quick. At least the nearby areas." she said. Kairi grinned. "Alright." he said, following her. "Oh, hey, by the way, all of my friends that are chicks usually have bigger breas—" Kairi started, grinning, before Miharu smacked him. "And all my guy friends aren't perverts!!" she snapped, storming off. Kairi followed her, laughing. Miharu had to smile too.

"Pyuuun~. . ." Kizaku murmured. He always had a content, lazy smile pasted on his face. His eyes were always closed, though he could see everything. "Miu, Miu," he said, his face facing in her general direction. Miu looked at him, tilting her head. "What?" she asked. "Do you want to play?" he asked. "Okay. What do you want to play?" she chirped, hugging his arm. As soon as Miu saw Kizaku, she wanted to talk to him. He was tall and lean, slumping a bit. She didn't know his eye colour— his eyes remained closed, as just said. He had LONG pink hair, which made him interesting, to say the least. His hair reached past his bottom. She had lent him a ribbon, and he tied it back into a long ponytail. Kizaku saw Miu as well and thought her a good playmate. She must have been the shortest one there, but she was also the cutest— at least Kizaku thought so. She had pink eyes and and a nice body, cute clothes. She was obviously rich, while Kizaku was well-trained in fending for himself. In other words, he was dirt poor. He loved his life, though. He grew up, and even now, living on beaches. Water was nothing new to him, but Miu had been panicking at first. "What if typhoons hit?! Hurricanes?! TORNADOES?!" she had cried. Kizaku reassured her there was no way tornadoes would hit this island, and he predicted no hurricanes would come anytime soon. Maybe heavy rainfall, but nothing besides that. Kizaku was about to reply when he saw the red-haired girl. "Oiiii, Red, want to play with us~?" he called, waving. "How old are you?" she shot back. "Hina, was it?" Miu asked distastefully. Hina stood up, glaring. Her blue eyes were icy and her glare powerful. She was forever frowning. She looked antisocial and mean, and she drew a lot. "Yes, my name is Hina. Refrain from calling me 'Red', please." she said coldly. "Pyuuun~, so mean." Kizaku said, smiling even cuter. Hina glared at him, but turned to the other girl there. "Hey, you." she said. The braided girl looked up, her green eyes lifeless. She was the one who ripped the rifle from her clothes. "What?" she asked. "Suzu's the name, right?" Hina asked. "Yes." Suzu said simply. Hina examined her, wrinkling her nose. Suzu stood up, brushed off her abdomen, then walked away. Hina scoffed and went back to drawing. Kizaku smiled. "With that, the character introductions are over~. ♥ Onto the real story~," Miu blinked. "What was that?" she asked. "Nothing, nothing. Let's go play!" he said, taking her hand and sauntering off.

~Intro~

Okay, okay. I'm Maddy. Yea, hi. ^^ Uhm, well, my pen name or author's name is "Haru". I am obviously an anime and manga addict. Anyways, I'm not great with introductions about myself, so let's get down to what I want to say.

I am an online novelist.

Oh yea, big and important. >:D Heh, carrying on, I LOVE to write online. Unfortunately, I don't get too many viewers and stuff. . .so. . .Here I am now, your basic otaku staring at her screen typing her dreams out. The first story I'm submitting here at this blog is "PeAcH". Let me tackle the rating now and tell you other stuff afterwards. (My vocabulary is really lacking today. . ."stuff". Hmm.)

~Rating~

If I rated "PeAcH", I'd rate it Older Teen or at least 12+. Let me tell you why. Firstly, there is violence. A lot of bloody violence. It sounds worse than it really is. (Don't be mad, mom. xDD -Rofl-) I don't go into detail about the bone crunching or what ever. Here, an example directly from PeAcH: "There was a cracking noise, then the sound of blood gushing." In fact, I believe that's as graphic as it gets. Honestly. o_O Moving on. Secondly, there is mild sensual/sexual themes. No, that's exaggerating it. I'm a romance junkie (despite liking blood and all that good stuff), and characters either immensely love another character, or there's a simple kiss, or a hug or something. So mild doesn't even do it justice. I'll make it "There's-some-kissing-and-stuff". If you watch anime or read manga (you're my new best friend) then you'll understand what I mean by "nosebleeds". Yes, the dreaded nosebleed for ecchi mangas. In PeAcH, the two male characters get a nosebleed while looking at a Succubus or Siren or what ever you want to call it, just because she attracts men. At the very beginning, two female characters get a nosebleed for one of my personal favourite characters, Aster, just because he's so earnest and cute and gentlemanly and whatnot. (My vocabulary's starting to improve...) Don't worry, this story is really not ecchi. At all. Okay, so the rating is done...

~Pictures~

I like to draw. It's fun. I don't suck at it either. I usually draw characters or random scenes from my stories, but I prefer to find online pictures from PhotoBucket. I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE PICTURES!!! None of them, NONE, belong to me. I simply got them from photobucket. If you own any of the pictures you see here, please tell me and I'll credit you. If you want me to remove a picture because it belongs to you, tell me and I will not hesitate to remove it from my blog. I'm sorry if you see any picture that belongs to you get angry at me. Very very sorry. (Gomen nasai. . .) Okay. However, if you just want a picture off 'cause you think it's ugly or you want to use it or something, refrain from asking please.

~Plot~
Yes, now we move on to plot. This is the last segmenty thing before moving on to the first chapter. The plot is basically:

Takoshomi Miharu has a totally rare eye colour— peach. Because of her strange eyes, she has earned herself the nickname "Peach" among people. One day, while waiting for her friend, a girl named Yuuna comes and tells her she's "won" a trip to Pi-Chi Ki Island. Miharu refuses to go, but then Yuuna kindly "escorts" (kidnaps) her, taking her to the gorgeous island. Once there, Miharu is informed she's the descendant of the fisherman in the famous legend "Pi-Chi Eyes". The island is once again being terrorized by the horrifying "Black". "Black" is not a common disease— it is a virus that infects a person and eats them from the inside out, turning their suffering and pain into Demons. When they die, the Demons burst from the body. Miharu, along with five other descendants, was chosen to destroy this "Black" once again. They even have a mysterious man calling himself "White" on their side, and his force is unreal. However, there are those, including "Black" itself, trying to spread the disease as far as it could go. Miharu is now forced to defend the paradise Pi-Chi Ki Island with everything she has— which isn't much!

Enter: PeAcH

Oh! Announcement! Their names are obviously Japanese, and so is the way you read them. In Japan, a person's last name is said first. For example, Takoshomi Miharu is the Japanese way, but if I were to say her name in English, it would be Miharu Takoshomi. So the names are kinda reversed. I'll be adding this announcement to each of my blogs.
